Tanzanian superstar Diamond Platnumz made as the first East African artist to headline London's iconic Royal Albert Hall, but not without controversy over his premium fan experience pricing.

'Simba,' as he is popularly referred to, charged fans Sh8,000 (approximately $60) for exclusive meet and greet sessions, capitalizing on his milestone achievement at the prestigious venue.

The concert drew thousands of fans to the historic hall, which can accommodate over 5,000 seated guests.

The meet and greet sessions offered fans a rare opportunity to interact with Diamond Platnumz in person - a coveted experience for his international fanbase.

However, the premium experience came with a catch: fans needed to purchase both the meet and greet pass and a separate concert ticket to gain full access to the event.

In the course of the event, organizers made it clear that the meet-and-greet pass alone would not grant access to the main concert.

True to this word, fans who only purchased the premium experience without a valid show ticket were turned away from the venue.

During the show, Diamond Platnumz delivered a high-energy performance featuring his biggest hits including "Jeje," "Yatapita," and "Waah!"seamlessly blending Swahili lyrics with international appeal and showcasing the signature stage charisma that makes him one of Africa's biggest musical exports.

"When I go somewhere I put a proper playlist that will break everyone, every song I play will be fire and that was it," Diamond told media after the show.

The concert also featured appearances from other African music heavyweights including Ommy Dimpoz, Juma Jux, Patoranking, and Nigerian star Tiwa Savage
