Tanzania's singer Zuchu has come out guns blazing and publicly addressed her boyfriend, Diamond Platnumz, for permitting presenters at Wasafi FM to bully and harass her on his platform.
In a recent announcement on Instagram, she revealed her intention to pursue legal action against Wasafi FM due to the ongoing mockery directed at her by the presenters.
She claims that the presenters have been ridiculing her, suggesting that she is overly eager and desperate for Diamond Platnumz to marry her.
In a lengthy emotional post shared via her Instagram stories she voiced her frustration regarding the ongoing harassment she has faced from the radio station which she alleges had repeatedly targeted her with mockery and negative commentary, but she felt that their recent actions had crossed a line.
The ‘Sukari’ hitmaker announced her intention to sue the station and its CEO, Diamond Platnumz. While acknowledging his significant influence in the industry, she emphasized her determination to seek justice for the emotional distress caused by their persistent trolling.
In addition, she disclosed that the negative discussions surrounding her on Wasafi FM have taken a toll on her mental health.
"Diamond Platnumz, Kwako kiongozi, kinachoendelea sasa mitandaoni kupitia maudhui ya kipindi chenu Mashamsham kimekuwa kama sehemu ya kuniumiza na kunididimiza kisanaa na kiafya ya mwili na akili."
Critically addressing the radio hosts' behavior, Zuchu accused them of intentionally attacking her character and stated that despite previously reaching out to Diamond about these issues, her concerns were dismissed.
In response to this treatment, Zuchu removed any mention of being “signed under Wasafi” from her Instagram bio, signaling a clear break from the association with the station amidst this ongoing conflict.
Responding to Zuchu’s allegations, The show's main host, Juma Lokole, defended the show’s content, stating that their discussions are purely professional and based on trending topics.
This comes barely a month after the celebrated songbird released her 13-track album Peace and Money boasting a rich lineup of collaborations that amplify its appeal.
