Kenyan rap sensation Khaligraph Jones has sparked online debate after a fan questioned the meaning of the black and white flags displayed around his luxurious mansion.

The "Yes Bana" hitmaker recently shared a video on Instagram, riding an electric scooter outside his expansive Karen property.

However, keen-eyed fans quickly noticed multiple flagpoles bearing alternating black and white flags in his compound.

One curious fan posed the question, “Hizo flags ni za nini?” (What are those flags for?)

In his signature witty style, Khaligraph jokingly responded, saying, “Ni za devil worshippers, izo ndio zinanipea nguvu kutoka jehanam.” (They are for devil worshippers; they give me powers from hell.)

His playful response stirred mixed reactions online, with some fans laughing it off while others speculated about the significance of the flags.

"Basi tuongezee Flag ya Legio maria hapo kwaizo zingine," wrote comedian DJ Shiti.

"Papa Johns words have power, be careful what you say," posted a fan.

Despite his lighthearted remark, Khaligraph has not shied away from discussing his faith. In 2021, he surprised many by releasing a gospel track, Asante, in which he expressed deep gratitude to God for His blessings.

In the song, he reflects on overcoming life’s struggles, including his mother’s near-death battle with COVID-19.

“I have never underestimated God since I know He is a performer. You healed my mum when she almost died of Corona,” he raps passionately in the track.

The rapper has also been vocal about his struggles, once revealing that his faith and prayers helped him navigate a dark period in his life.

Khaligraph’s mansion has been a major topic of discussion since he unveiled it on Instagram. Many netizens have compared the lavish home to a shopping mall due to its sheer size and grand architecture.

In a recent post, the rapper shared a glimpse of his stylish walk-in closet, filled with designer shoes and trendy caps.

Addressing the online buzz, he quipped, “I woke up to me trending because of my house. People are comparing it to a mall, and these are the problems I have always wanted.”

The "Tuma Kitu" rapper has been working on his dream home for years, with his wife, Georgina Muteti, previously sharing images of the mansion’s foundation being laid in February 2022.

Khaligraph has often attributed his success to his talent and hard work, stating that his home stands as proof of how far his music career has taken him.
