Celebrated Kenyan rapper, King Kaka is proving that he’s not just a master of music, but also a culinary pro! In an endearing display of fatherhood, the artiste recently shared a heartwarming moment on social media where he cooked a delicious meal for his children.
The rapper had gone with his first born daughter Gweth to buy some shopping coriander (dhania) and capsicum (hoho), packaged in a plastic bag at a local market.
While driving back home the rapper says he had forgotten that some people are supposed to use the two while cooking.
“So we took a drive OMG!” he laughs in the video.
In a video posted to his Instagram, King Kaka showed off his kitchen skills, carefully preparing the meal step by step, but not before he washed the utensils he had earlier used for breakfast.
His focus and attention to detail were evident as he explained meticulously each step, chopping the vegetables, seasoning the meat, and stirred the pot with the precision of a seasoned chef.
“Had an amazing time with The Gang and my assistant chef, Geezy. Anyway loving my new skill. Love looks like this!” read the video caption.
Mid the cooking, the Kaka Empire honcho suggested that he should be doing professional commentaries while cooking which some of his fans agreed in the comments.
“Sasa anza kusema (Sauté then add a glass of water)!” film producer and director Jijo Drumbeats commented, to which he replied that he was taking notes.
Although the father of three would have preferred to have had ugali to accompany the very palatable meal, the three children voted in unison for rice and so he had no choice but to bow to their demand, serving them the tender meat, fluffy rice, and savory gravy, all served in a generous helping, much to their delight and later thanking their dad for the yummy meal.
This heartwarming gesture not only showcases his impressive cooking skills but also emphasises the importance of family and the special bond he shares with his children.
Whether it’s serving up hits on the charts or serving up a hearty meal at home, King Kaka is proving that his talents extend far beyond the stage. Over the weekend he took the three for Crazy Kennar’s movie premier, which he had directed. The family was dressed up by Liru Designs looking elegantly stylish, stunning on the red carpet.
The unexpected culinary showcase has left fans with a new appreciation for Dundaing song maker just months after announcing the shocking news where he and Nana Owiti ended to their 13 years’ relationship.
