Kenyan musician and producer Mbokotho is making a bold return to the music scene in 2025.

He is reintroducing himself not just as a performer but as a full-fledged creative powerhouse affter a period of strategic retreat to refine his sound, master his production techniques, and build a stronger business model, he is stepping back into the industry with renewed purpose.

His comeback isn’t just about dropping new music. it’s about reshaping his role in Kenya’s ever-evolving entertainment space.

He’s kicking things off with three newly produced singles, leading up to a full-length, 10-track album set to release this month. Fans can also expect music videos to follow soon after, adding a visual element to his fresh sound.

Navigating the music industry has always been a challenge, and Mbokotho is fully aware of the economic constraints affecting artists and labels alike.

However, he remains hopeful, citing shifting trends that favour independent musicians willing to put in the work.

“The tide is turning,” he says.
