Kenyan musician Stivo Simple Boy is trending on social media after boldly declaring that he is “strong” and could not be attacked like Mumias East MP Peter Salasya.

This comes after Salasya was assaulted and chased out of Nyayo National Stadium on Sunday, March 23. The MP had attended Kenya’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier match against Gabon when he got into a scuffle with fans.

Videos circulating online show Salasya wearing an AFC Leopards jersey before an agitated fan hurled a trash bin at his face. Security officers quickly intervened and escorted him out of the stadium.

Amid the viral incident, Stivo Simple Boy captured attention with his eccentric outfit and a bold statement. In a trending video, the musician is seen wearing a red brassiere, pants covered in cotton, and carrying a staff wrapped in wool.

Dismissing any comparisons to Salasya, he confidently declared, “Mtu ajaribu kuniguza. Mimi sio Salasya.” (Let someone try to touch me. I am not Salasya.)

His remarks sparked amusement online, with netizens flooding the comment section with jokes and reactions.

One TikTok user quipped, “Na bra inasemaje?” (What does the bra have to say?), while another praised Stivo’s creativity, writing, “Kama haupendi Stivo, hauna maana duniani.” (If you don’t like Stivo, you have no purpose in this world.)

Meanwhile, Saboti MP Caleb Amisi condemned the attack on Salasya, calling it “uncouth, uncalled for, and lugubrious.” He urged authorities to take action, emphasising that freedom of speech and expression is protected by the Constitution.

“We may not agree with how he does things, but this is a young man trying his luck in life,” Amisi stated.
