Eric Omondi is now a single man after his partner, Lynne Njihia, announced their break-up on social media.

In a post shared on Instagram, Lynne revealed that the decision was best for both her and their daughter.

"I've made the decision to end my relationship with Eric Omondi. It wasn't easy, but it's what's best for my peace, growth, and the future I envision for myself and my daughter,” she wrote in the viral post.

Shortly after, she posted a reel lip-syncing to JoJo’s hit “Too Little Too Late.” According to Songfacts, the song tells the story of a girl breaking up with a boyfriend who mistreated her—and when he tries to come back, she refuses.

The announcement comes just days after Eric publicly celebrated Lynne's birthday with a heartfelt message on Instagram:

“Happy Birthday to the love of my life… the mother of my child. May all your dreams come true, baby. Mimi and @kyla.omondi are here cheering you on, babyyyy. We LOVE YOU so much.”

Just a month ago, Lynne had also dedicated a birthday reel to Eric titled “Happy Birthday, My Love.” In the caption, she expressed deep affection.

“I thank God for having you in our lives. Kyla and I are the luckiest people in the world. I pray that all your visions and dreams come true. You mean so much to me, baby. I get goosebumps when I think about how I feel about you. You're my everything.”

Eric and Lynne reportedly met in April 2020 during a work engagement. Lynne had auditioned for a role in one of Eric’s comedy sketches, and their professional relationship soon evolved into a romance.

Despite their 19-year age difference, Lynne once shared in an interview that their relationship was built on genuine friendship and support.

“I believe love is love. Haina limit, haina gender, haina age. Love is love,” she said.

While many fans and celebrities sent words of encouragement, others were skeptical about the news.

@joseqabz asked, “Kwani Kenya leo ni 1st April?”

@officialkendikenya echoed the sentiment: “Aje sasa? Hii nayo siezi amini imagine. April fools ilishapita by the way Lynne.”

@njesh_muhindi cautioned, “Don’t wish yourself bad things just for clout!”

Meanwhile, @_law speculated: “Hapa hawa wanataka kuannounce mtoto wa pili.”

By the time of publishing, Eric Omondi was still unreachable on phone for comment.
