After months of silence and online speculation, Nakuru Governor Susan Kihika and her husband Sam Mburu have shown off their adorable double joy, twins.

In a heartwarming photo that has taken social media by storm, the couple is seen beaming with pride as they pose with their adorable twins.

The photo shows Kihika is seated in a cosy beige armchair, glowing in a white blouse, holding the twins on her lap.

One baby, as speculated by online 'sleuths', was claimed to be visibly older and upright, as it gazes curiously at the camera, while the younger one, peacefully asleep in a white onesie, resting gently in Kihika's arm.

Mburu stands behind them, clad in a blue patterned shirt and white trousers, smiling with quiet pride.

The photo has sparked a frenzy of congratulatory messages and curious reactions online.

Blogger Cyprian Nyakundi tweeted, "I congratulate my brother Sam Mburu and gov Susan Kihika for the twins.

Robert Alai joined in: "Congratulations... on the joyful arrival of your twins! Wishing your family endless love and happiness."

However, the photo also ignited whispers and scepticism in equal measure. Some Kenyans questioned the age gap between the babies, wondering if the twins were indeed born at the same time.

"Some Kenyans are saying the twins look one year apart, while others doubt if it's possible for a 52-year-old woman to conceive," tweeted another user.

The twins were reportedly born in the U.S.
