Award-winning Kenyan musician and Sauti Sol frontman, Bien-Aimé Baraza, is officially going global.
After receiving the prestigious O-1 visa from the U.S. government, a visa granted to individuals with extraordinary talent, Bien is gearing up to launch his highly anticipated world tour, starting in the United States this May.
The Trace Awards winner will be performing in eight states across the U.S., kicking things off at the iconic Howard Theatre in the DMV area.
Bien will move on to electrify audiences in Massachusetts, New York, Georgia, Ohio, Minnesota, Texas, and finally, Washington state.
The U.S. leg of the tour will run from May 14 to May 26.
The celebrated musician's artistry and influence were acknowledged during a recent visit to the U.S. Embassy in Nairobi, where he was hosted by Chargé d'Affaires Marc Dillard.
"Kenya’s musical powerhouse," Dillard called him, praising the star for elevating Kenyan music on the global stage. The embassy later posted their well-wishes on social media, saying, “Good luck to @bienaimesol on your upcoming U.S. tour! Thank you for stopping by the embassy.”
In July, Bien will be jetting off to Europe, with his first stop in Paris, followed by shows in the Netherlands, Germany, and three much-anticipated performances in the UK.
