Azziad Nasenya has broken her silence following the circulation of a viral audio recording allegedly capturing her pleading for money while stranded in Nigeria.
In a short video shared online, the Kenyan content creator and social media sensation appeared unbothered and responded with her trademark sass and sarcasm.
“Anything you hear, anything you see, please believe it,” she said, “Mimi, I am busy working on things. I do not have time to start clearing anything. Don’t come asking me. Jibambe!” addressing the situation.
Her remarks only fuelled the fire, triggering a wave of mixed reactions online. While some fans brushed it off, others speculated that there might be more going on behind the scenes.
“She can actually choose to acknowledge her state... social media has been the university of character development,” wrote one user, peacementation.
Another, Sangster Johnz, observed, “Her facial expressions say a lot. The girl is stressed. She needs help but can’t admit it!”
The audio in question features a voice, allegedly Azziad’s, urgently requesting a financial lifeline.
“Aki mama, I’m begging. As we speak, I’m in Nigeria. Kuna pesa ilifaa nitumiwe on Monday na haijatumwa. Niko stranded, nafaa kulipa mtu wangu wa nywele huku Nigeria. I only need Sh85,000,” the voice pleads.
The speaker also acknowledges an outstanding debt and promises to repay the new loan by Monday.
This isn't the first time Azziad has been linked to borrowing allegations. Earlier this year, fellow content creators Mary Musyoka and Hannah Benta accused her of defaulting on personal loans.
In one viral TikTok clip, a WhatsApp voice note, claimed to be Azziad’s, was shared, where she requested Sh300,000 and promised to return it quickly.
“I’m in a fix and I’m stuck,” the message said. “There’s a whole story behind it... But I promise you’ll have it back by Sunday or Monday latest.”
Eventually, Azziad reportedly honoured her word.
Mary confirmed the debt was cleared and even celebrated with a TikTok dance captioned, “My money is back, guys. Kumbe kelele husaidia!”
