Content creator and actor Daddie Marto has broken his silence following serious allegations made by his wife, Koku Lwanga, who announced the end of their marriage, citing infidelity and domestic abuse.
In a public statement, Marto, whose real name is Martin Githinji, said he initially wanted to handle the matter privately but felt compelled to speak out after the posts and accompanying visuals went viral online.
“Over the past few hours, as deeply concerning posts have circulated online directly referencing me, my character, and my personal life. These posts contained profoundly painful and serious allegations. My primary hope was to resolve these matters privately for the well-being of my children and all parties involved, but the nature of the online discourse now compels me to respond publicly,” he stated.
Addressing the violence allegations, Marto firmly denied any wrongdoing and maintained that he is a peaceful man.
“First and foremost, I want to state unequivocally that I do not condone violence of any kind; physical, emotional, or psychological,” he said.
He went on to describe himself as the target of false and damaging accusations and said that Koku’s claims painted an incomplete and biased version of events.
“I also unequivocally reject being the subject of false and harmful accusations. The recent online narrative presents a significantly distorted and one-sided picture of events, omitting crucial context and the full truth. What is currently being shared is not only misleading but deeply damaging—not just for me but to our children, our families, and the communities we belong to,” he added.
Marto said he has evidence to support his version of events and has chosen to cooperate with legal authorities rather than engage in public disputes.
“I want to clarify that evidence exists that would offer a more complete and accurate picture of the situation. However, rather than engaging in public confrontations, I believe it is essential to allow the appropriate channels to handle this matter thoroughly, fairly, and with the dignity it deserves. I am cooperating fully with the appropriate legal channels and have sought legal redress to ensure my safety and the safety of all others affected. Where necessary, I will defend my name with the truth and within the bounds of the law,” he stated.
Marto and Koku have been married for nearly a decade and share three children. Despite the joy surrounding Father's Day celebrations on June 15, 2025, their household was rocked by turmoil.
In a series of posts shared via her Instagram stories, Koku claimed she caught the internet personality with another woman in a separate two-bedroom office at their Nairobi home.
She also alleged that when she confronted him, he physically assaulted her, leaving her with bruises.
