Nyashinski praises Nameless after star-studded 25th anniversary concert

Nyashinski has congratulated fellow artiste Nameless after the veteran singer marked 25 years in music with a major concert at Nairobi’s Carnivore Grounds over the weekend.

Taking to Facebook, Nyashinski described himself as “super proud” of Nameless for finally staging the long-awaited celebration, adding that the musician “went ALL OUT” during the show.

“Been waiting patiently for this & my boy went ALL OUT! I’m blessed to be a part of the legendary 25-year journey. Cheers to many more,” Nyashinski wrote.

The Nameless@25 concert was held on Saturday, August 15, with the event celebrating a quarter-century of Nameless’ career.

The concert had sold out months before the event, reflecting strong interest in the milestone celebration.

Nyashinski was among the artistes who joined Nameless on stage during the show. 

The celebration also paid tribute to the late rapper E-Sir, Nameless’ former colleague, with E-Sir’s younger brother Habib and Mr Lenny joining Nameless to perform songs associated with the late artiste.

Nameless, whose real name is David Mathenge, began his professional music journey in the late 1990s and became one of the defining figures of Kenya’s pop and urban music scene. His career has included several successful collaborations and hit songs that have remained popular across generations.

For Nyashinski, who has also enjoyed a long career in Kenyan music, the concert offered an opportunity to celebrate a fellow veteran while acknowledging their shared history in the industry.

The message comes as Nameless continues his 25-year career milestone celebrations, with the Carnivore show bringing together several generations of Kenyan musicians and fans.
