Nairobi County Chief Officer Geoffrey Mosiria has finally met his viral look-alike and impersonator, comedian Mosiria Mkisii.

The two met after videos of Mosiria Mkisii copying the county official’s speaking style, mannerisms and preference for formal suits went viral on Kenyan social media.

They appeared together in matching official-looking suits, with their resemblance drawing reactions from Kenyans online.

Photos and videos of the meeting were widely shared on Instagram, TikTok and Facebook, with some users jokingly asking who the “real” Mosiria was.

Mosiria also joined in the joke, saying people could easily mistake the comedian for his brother.

“I think I need a DNA test!” Mosiria joked.

The county official appeared to embrace the impersonation, praising Mosiria Mkisii’s creativity and promising to support his talent as he develops his career in content creation.

The meeting came months after Mosiria was moved to the Citizen Engagement and Customer Service docket, which focuses on improving communication between Nairobi County and residents and helping them access public services.

Mosiria is among several Kenyan public figures who have attracted attention because of their look-alikes.

Earlier this month, former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua met his look-alike, Cyrus Kinuthia, popularly known online as “RiggyG Junior”, in Washington, United States. The two laughed, shook hands and posed for photographs, with Gachagua’s wife, Pastor Dorcas, also joining the light-hearted moment.

Other Kenyan political figures have also had famous look-alikes. Michael Ngige is known for his striking resemblance to Kenya’s founding President Jomo Kenyatta, a likeness that has continued to attract public and media attention.

Former President Uhuru Kenyatta has also had a known look-alike from Umoja, Nairobi, while the late President Mwai Kibaki was often compared with Samuel Njau Gicheru, popularly known as Uncle Sam.
