As all eyes were glued at the highly anticipated African Union Commission (AUC) elections in Addis Ababa, Kenya’s Ann Blessing was setting records on the same soil.

The Beauty of Africa International Pageant (BAIP) was happening the same day and Kenya stood tall as Ann Blessing bagged the Best Photogenic category. She emerged 4th in the overall category.

Michal Tesfay of Eritrea was crowned the winner of the annual "Beauty of Africa International Pageant (BAIP) 2025", and become the winner of the international standards pageant for the first time.

Michal also secured the prestigious Miss Talent title, marking a significant achievement for her country. Her victory highlights Eritrea’s growing presence in the international modeling and entertainment industry, earning her widespread recognition.

The event, which celebrates African beauty, culture, and intelligence, saw participants from across the continent vying for the prestigious crown.

“It has been quite a journey, but with God’s guidance, I did my best in representing my country," she said.

“To me, Beauty of Africa International Pageant is more than just a competition it’s a platform to inspire, empower, and celebrate Africa’s rich culture. Winning the crown is not just a title it’s a commitment to making a difference. And in God’s name I trust,” she adds.

According to the Beauty of Africa International Pageant Kenya- Franchise Director, Leakey Odera, Pageantry is more than just physical beauty and in as much as he expressed great hopes that Terry Ann will be bringing the crown back home, it didn’t happen so. “She gave her all and stood tall all through. We are all proud of her,” he said.
