In a bold act of defiance, a protestor was captured on video attempting to unmask an anti-riot police officer during a clash that erupted earlier today in Nairobi's Central Business District (CBD).
The incident, which has since gone viral on social media, showed the intense confrontations between Kenyan law enforcement and civilians protesting against the brutal murder of Kenyan teacher Albert Ojwang.
This act of defiance is part of a broader movement where youth are demanding justice and accountability.
The video, lasting 12 seconds, depicts a chaotic scene where police, clad in various uniforms and some wearing masks, engage in physical altercations with demonstrators.
At one point, a female protestor is seen reaching out to remove the mask of a police officer who had covered his face.

Many lauded her resoluteness then, and in this scenario too, people are full of praises for her courage, terming her a bold and fearless representative of Gen Z.
The protests, which saw demonstrators taking to the streets, are called for the 2025 budget to be rescinded until justice is served and those responsible for the murder and other acts of police brutality are held to account.
“No justice, no budget!” the angry youths chanted in unison, condemning the spate of extrajudicial killings witnessed across the country.
A couple of injuries were reported as officers fired tear gas and rubber bullets to disperse the crowd.
Several traders in Nairobi’s city centre were forced to shut down their operations early as the situation deteriorated.
