Internet sensation Professor Aduol finally meets Oburu Odinga in hilarious moment

In an unconventional meet-up of politics and viral culture, ODM leader Oburu Odinga hosted his most famous online impersonator, comedian Professor Aduol, sparking reactions online.

@Hon Oscar Musonye, commented, “Why is Oburu imitating this guy”, @ Justus Interiors, posted, “Those who are pulling us back we tell them ng’oooooou”, 

In the video that has since gone viral, shows the encounter between the veteran politician with the satirist who spent months studying, impersonating and amplifying Oginga’s mannerisms for social media audiences.

Aduol rose to fame in late 2025 by accurately depicting Oburu’s distinctive vocal rhythm, dramatic gestures, and rallying phrases, turning satire into a humorous form of political commentary.

The meeting at Oburu’s office showcased Aduol’s impromptu routine that left attendees in stitches, demonstrating his quick-witted comic persona.

In attendance were the governor of Mombasa, Abdulswamad Shariff Nassir, MP Junet Mohamed and Governor Simba Aarati, who were all excited to watch the comedian.

The comedian, stood alongside Oburu in a light moment and said, “I just want to say we are here, and I am the party leader. We are still strong na tunaendelea mbele. Mr Party leader, I just want to tell them we are strong na tunaendelea mbele.

Today is the day, I am so happy, and it has just been a journey. Today is the D-Day that everybody has been waiting, they have been asking me if I have ever met the real party leader, today we just confirmed, pawa!” 

As the clip circulated, it highlighted a confronting truth about political alignment and realignment ahead of the 2027 general election, amid political temperatures that has been witnessed country wide.

With ODM Party seemingly in an in-house wrangle as two factions scramble for ultimate control over the party. Oburu Oginga is leading the “Linda Ground” brigade, while Edwin sifuna and the likes of Babu owino seemingly commanding the other faction, “Linda Mwananchi”
