Zimbabwean businessman Wicknell “Sir Wicknell” Chivayo has sparked fresh interest with his high-profile meeting with Eswatini’s King Mswati III, days after his widely discussed visit to Kenya where President William Ruto personally drove him around his farm.
Chivayo described his latest encounter with the Eswatini monarch as a privilege, saying the two shared an evening dinner at the Royal Palace.
In a social media post, the businessman praised King Mswati III for his warmth, humility and vision for Eswatini’s economic development.
He said the monarch had shown strong interest in investment, infrastructure and economic growth, while continuing to support projects linked to his business interests in the kingdom.
“After several visits, I can comfortably say Eswatini is now my third home,” Chivayo wrote, expressing gratitude for the hospitality he received.

He also wished the king continued wisdom and a long reign, while sharing photographs showing the pair exchanging greetings and later seated inside the ornate palace.
The meeting comes amid growing attention around Chivayo’s high-level relationships with influential figures across Africa.
His public appearances with political leaders and members of royal families have frequently attracted interest on social media.
Just days before the Eswatini dinner, Chivayo was in Kenya, where President Ruto personally took the wheel during a tour of his farm in Kilgoris.
The businessman documented parts of the unusual outing, showing the Kenyan president driving him around the farm.
He later praised Ruto as a hands-on farmer with a strong interest in agriculture, food security and productivity.
His Kenyan visit also included a memorable trip following Charlene Ruto’s traditional engagement ceremony.
Chivayo’s successive encounters with powerful figures have placed him firmly in the spotlight, with his business dealings, lavish lifestyle and access to Africa’s political elite continuing to fuel public curiosity and debate.
