Boni Khalwale mourns wife Gloria Sekeiyan after sudden death

Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale is mourning the death of his wife Gloria Sekeiyan Khalwale who died on Saturday morning, August 15 after she reportedly suffered a heart attack.

Khalwale announced her death in a statement shared on his social media page.  “My dear wife Gloria Sekeiyan Khalwale, has this morning suddenly collapsed and died after a heart attack,” Khalwale announced.

The Senator described his wife as a beloved member of his family and mother of their children.

He also revealed that the late Gloria was the mother of eight children.Her death marks a big loss to the family with the news prompting condolences messages from leaders and the public. 

The Linda Mwananchi party leader Edwin Sifuna also passed his condolence.

“Omwami Khalwale, pole sana for your loss. May God comfort you and your family in this difficult time. Khulialala Omwami. May her soul rest in peace,” Sifuna said.

The National Assembly and Budget Committee Chair Samwel Atandi also shared his condolence to the senator and his family.

“Very sorry, Senator. May God comfort you and your family during this difficult time,” Atandi said.

Kakamega governor Fernandes Baraza also mourned Gloria describing her death as untimely loss to the family and sending his condolences to the family. 

The late Gloria was the third wife of the senator and her death came nearly seven years after the senator lost his first wife in 2019. 

The circumstances surrounding her death were described by the senator as a sudden collapse following a heart attack though he did not reveal whether receiving treatment for any underlying illness before her demise.
