The 2024/25 FKF Kenyan Premier League season has officially come to a close, and with it, a new chapter in local football history.
Kenya Police FC have clinched their first-ever league title, finishing the campaign with 65 points, a remarkable achievement for the club founded in 2014 and run by the Kenya Police Service.
In a grand show of confidence and flair, the champions made a stylish entrance to their final fixture at Ulinzi Sports Complex.
Dressed in matching blue tuxedos, red ties, and white sneakers, and arriving in a convoy of luxury vehicles, the squad’s appearance made as much of a statement as their performance on the pitch, signalling a fresh, ambitious era for Kenyan football.
The final match saw Police face off against last season’s champions, Gor Mahia FC, in a much-anticipated clash.
While Police had already secured the title ahead of the game, the showdown drew national attention, with dignitaries such as former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, Interior CS Kipchumba Murkomen, and FKF Deputy President McDonald Mariga in attendance.
Gor Mahia ended the season second with 59 points, offering a spirited challenge but ultimately falling short against the consistency and discipline of the law enforcers.
Individual accolades also marked the season's end. Kakamega Homeboyz striker Moses Shumah claimed the Golden Boot with 17 goals, while Kenya Police goalkeeper Job Ochieng earned the Golden Glove after keeping 13 clean sheets; a key factor in the team’s historic title run.
