KOGS has condemned the armed invasion of Kitengela Hospital during the Saba Saba protests, calling it inhumane and urging government action to protect healthcare access.
Doctors have strongly condemned the invasion of Kitengela Hospital, a private health facility in Kajiado County, during Tuesday’s Saba Saba demonstrations.
The doctors, under the Kenya Obstetrical and Gynaecological Society (KOGS), have said such measures would help prevent avoidable maternal and neonatal deaths.
It is a major win for doctors after the government posted 1,800 medical interns with a monthly salary of Sh206,000, following standoff over pay dispute.
Several government officials have been acting as defenders of the administration at times contradicting the position of the government Spokesperson.
In cases of brain death, where the heart may still be beating, the patient has lost all vital brain functions, particularly in the brain stem.
