Teams of ICT students from Kenya performed strongly at the finals of a global competition organised by Huawei, highlighting the rapid development of digital skills in the country.
Huawei Kenya, in partnership with Equity Group Foundation has launched Huawei ICT Academy at OUK a transformative step toward equipping thousands with the digital skills.
Principal Secretary Esther Muoria said through the partnership, the government aims to train about 1,000 students annually who will then be certified by Huawei.
AI will enable a truly personalised experience for consumers, driving intelligent collaboration within organizations and laying the foundation for more inclusive intelligence for all.
ICT PS Eng John Tanui said the vision includes a digital master plan focused on infrastructure, service delivery, skills innovation, and entrepreneurship.
Mr Lu said the breakthrough by DeepSeek in less than two months is a clear demonstration of AI’s power, marking an example of the industry’s rapid revolution.
