Fashion designer Bolo Bespoke has unveiled a recreated version of the viral outfit associated with former Cabinet Secretary Eliud Owalo, carrying a price tag of Sh364,000.
Bolo described the replica on social media as a carefully crafted version inspired by the original design, positioning it as an exclusive luxury item tailored for clients who appreciate bespoke fashion.
"Ile ya Waziri mlisema haijaonekana poa. Basi ndio hii nimewaletea ya fundi mmoja Africa, price tag Sh364,000 only," Bolo wrote, adding that orders are "strictly by bookings only" and the offer lasts until the end of the month.
Owalo, whose photos generated intense online discussion around the outfit, has previously explained the symbolism behind the controversial attire, linking it to cultural heritage and leadership aspirations.
Speaking about the outfit, the former CS noted that it reflected preparations for a future presidential bid.
He explained that he wore the attire during a visit to Luo Council of Elders chairman Ker Odungi Randa in Nyando, where it symbolised identity, authority and cultural continuity.
This explanation has added another dimension to the public discussion surrounding the garment.
Online reactions remain heavily divided.
Some users have praised the craftsmanship and celebration of African culture, while others have questioned the design and its practicality.
The Sh364,000 price tag has further fuelled debate over whether bespoke fashion should command such premium prices.
