Davido promises classic Afrobeats sound on new album ORIADE

Nigerian music superstar Davido has officially announced the release date and title of his highly anticipated sixth studio album, ORIADÉ.

The Afrobeats star revealed that the 13-track project will be released on July 31, 2026, making it the shortest studio album of his career.

His previous albums, Omo Baba Olowo (2012), A Good Time (2019), A Better Time (2020), Timeless (2023), and 5ive (2025), each featured 17 tracks.

Over the years, Davido has delivered some of his biggest hits, including Dami Duro, Fall, If, Risky, FEM, Jowo, Unavailable, and With You featuring Omah Lay.

The visually striking announcement has sparked excitement among fans, who have been eagerly awaiting the singer's next full-length project following the success of 5ive.

The album's lead trackI Know Who I Be, marks a return to Davido's signature high-energy Afrobeats sound after the more experimental direction of some of his recent work.

Speaking to Billboard, Davido said ORIADÉ takes him back to the sound that first made him a star.

"The recent music I've been working on is really, really African. I'm taking it back to my original Davido kind of music."

The album also marks back-to-back yearly releases for the singer, arriving just one year after 5ive.

The five-time Grammy-nominated artist says ORIADÉ celebrates the journey that has brought him to where he is today and reflects his mission to help push African music to a global audience.

Expectations are high following the success of 5ive, which produced With You featuring Omah Lay, one of the biggest Afrobeats songs of 2025.

The album also earned Davido another Grammy nomination and was backed by a successful world tour.

In Nigeria, he staged a nationwide tour with performances across the country's North, South, East, and West, giving fans in every region the chance to experience the album live.
