Nairobi's Central Business District turned into a sea of green and white as thousands of jubilant Gor Mahia supporters poured into the streets to celebrate the club's historic 22nd FKF Premier League title.

Chants of "Gor Biro!" echoed through the city, accompanied by the deafening sounds of whistles, vuvuzelas and drums as ecstatic fans marked another milestone.

Dressed in the club's iconic green jerseys and waving flags, supporters marched through major streets and danced atop vehicles, creating a carnival-like atmosphere.

The celebrations attracted curious onlookers, with many stopping to capture the moment on their phones as K'Ogalo faithful proudly displayed their colours.

The jubilant scenes came after Gor Mahia were officially crowned champions for the 2025/26 season at Nyayo National Stadium, further cementing their status as Kenya's most successful football club.

The title was secured with two matches to spare after arch-rivals AFC Leopards dropped crucial points, leaving Gor Mahia uncatchable at the top of the table.

The championship capped off a remarkable campaign in which the Green Army demonstrated consistency and resilience throughout the season.

Week after week, Gor Mahia maintained their grip on the summit, fending off challenges from rivals to eventually emerge as deserving champions.

Although Gor Mahia suffered a 1-0 defeat to Nairobi United in their final league match, the result had little significance on a day dedicated to celebration.

Thousands of supporters packed the stadium to witness the official trophy presentation, erupting into cheers as the players lifted the coveted trophy.

Following the ceremony, celebrations quickly spilt into the city centre as motorcades snaked through the streets.

The 22nd league crown now adds to the glory of Gor, a club that remains the benchmark of success in Kenyan football.
