Gospel artiste Barakito is riding on the success of his maiden live recording concert, God Is Still Working Experience, a milestone he describes as a turning point in his musical journey and a testament to God's faithfulness.

The singer, who recently released Amenitendea Mema featuring Guardian Angel says the overwhelming success of the live recording exceeded everything he had imagined.

“The recording session was very successful beyond my expectations. That is proof that what God cannot do does not exist,” he says.

For him, the event became a platform that introduced him to a wider audience and opened doors to valuable industry connections.

“That experience gave my career a huge boost because I got to work with some of the biggest names in the industry. I learned a lot from them. Many gospel music fans also got to know who I am, and the feedback I received from people who were touched by my songs gave me confidence to keep pushing forward,” he says.

Like many artistes, however, Barakito's path has not been without obstacles. He admits that financing a music career remains one of the greatest challenges for independent musicians.

“Breaking into the industry requires money for concerts, audio and video production, and even promotion,” he explains.

To keep his dream alive, the singer has had to rely heavily on income from his day job.

“I work hard in my day job so that I can sponsor my music career. By God's grace, I have also met people who have become a great support system. Those same people have connected me with others who continue to help me on this journey.”

One of those connections eventually led him to Guardian Angel, one of Kenya's most successful gospel artistes.

“I met Guardian Angel through one of my managers. I have been a fan of his music for a very long time, so working with him felt like a dream come true,” says Barakito.

The collaboration turned out to be everything he hoped for and more.

“He is very easy to work with and a great performer. From the short time I spent with him, I learned the importance of remaining humble and allowing God to use you.”

According to Barakito, gospel ministry goes beyond fame, charts and accolades.

“We are gospel artistes, not secular artistes. What we do is serve God and spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the world,” he says.

His latest release, Amenitendea Mema, is deeply personal and reflects on the countless blessings he believes God has bestowed upon his life.

“There are so many things God has done for me. If I started mentioning them one by one, I would need to write an entire book,” he says with a laugh.

“That is why in this song I am saying that all I can do is sing and praise Him because there is no amount of money or anything in this world that can equal what God has done for me.”

The singer hopes the song will resonate with listeners who have experienced breakthroughs, healing and restoration in their own lives.

“I want Amenitendea Mema to become a testimony anthem for millions of people. I want people to listen to it and remember the goodness of God in their lives,” he says.
