Former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko’s daughter, Janetta Nyamu, has officially married her partner, Elvis Kintu, in an exclusive traditional ceremony that blended luxury with cultural elegance.

Footage circulating on social media showed the private event, attended by close relatives and friends, which was largely kept under wraps until family members began sharing snippets of the celebration online.

Janetta, also known as Janet Kahingi, was adopted by the politician and his wife, Primrose Mbuvi, at a young age and raised as part of the family.

The couple drew attention with their stylish fashion choices.

The bride wore a sleek off-shoulder white gown paired with flawless makeup, while Kintu, a professional director of photography, opted for a contemporary two-piece outfit featuring floral accents that matched those of his groomsmen.

The festivities were held at an upscale private estate with scenic views.

In clips seen by TNX Africa, Sonko and his family made a grand entrance in a convoy of luxury vehicles.

Janetta’s sister, Sandra Mbuvi, was among the first to offer a glimpse into the celebrations, sharing footage of the former governor and his wife dancing at the event.

Sonko wore a custom white suit detailed with gold and black embroidery, while his wife complemented the look in a matching elegant outfit.

Following the ceremony, Kintu reflected on the milestone on social media, writing, “He who is faithful has done it.” Janetta responded: “I love you. A proud wifey.”

The marriage has since attracted an outpouring of congratulatory messages from family, friends and admirers on social media.
