Nigerian Afrobeats star Rema turned heads at the 2026 FIFA World Cup opening ceremony, stepping onto one of football's biggest stages in a striking all-white ensemble that blended luxury fashion with music.

The singer joined Lisa and Anitta at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles for the first live performance of their collaborative single, Goals, from the official FIFA World Cup 2026 album.

Rema's outfit quickly became a talking point among fans and fashion enthusiasts.

The Calm Down hitmaker wore a loose white hooded jacket layered over a ribbed vest and matching wide-leg trousers, creating a sleek monochromatic look.

He accessorised with a Richard Mille watch, one of the world's most exclusive luxury timepieces.

Although the exact model has not been publicly identified, many suspected it to be the RM035 model.

This particular one is estimated to be worth between Sh26 million and Sh52 million ($200,000-$400,000) according to luxury watch retailer Chrono24.

The watch featured the brand's signature tonneau-shaped case and skeletonised dial, showcasing its intricate mechanics.

The star further elevated the look with a custom diamond angel pendant hanging from a thick chain.

The statement piece featured a highly detailed angel figure with expansive wings encrusted with diamonds.

He completed the futuristic ensemble with crystal-fringed sunglasses and a white head wrap tucked beneath his hood.

On stage, Rema joined Lisa and Anitta in a performance that united three artists from different corners of the world. Lisa opened the track before Anitta delivered her verse, while Rema closed the performance with an Afrobeats-infused rap section that had fans singing along.

Their coordinated white outfits gave the show a cohesive visual identity while allowing each artist's personal style to stand out.

The appearance marked another major milestone for Nigerian music on the global stage.

Just a day after Burna Boy performed during World Cup festivities in Mexico City, Rema found himself representing Afrobeats before a global audience.

Following the performance, the singer shared a series of photographs on Instagram alongside a heartfelt message dedicated to his late mother.

"Momma hope you proud," he wrote, a simple but emotional caption that triggered a flurry of reactions from fans in his comment section.
