Kenyan musician Arrow Bwoy has sparked fresh excitement online after publicly calling for a rematch against Ugandan businessman and socialite Shakib Cham following his defeat at the celebrity boxing event Vurugu 2.

The singer, who lost their first bout, says he is ready to return to the ring and settle the rivalry on Ugandan soil.

“Twenty days of training. One fight. One lesson learned. Respect to Shakib for the victory in our first encounter. He was the better man on the night, but I believe the fans deserve to see this rivalry settled with both fighters fully prepared and at their best. Today, I officially request a rematch between Shakib and myself in Kampala, Uganda,” Arrow Bwoy said.

The highly publicised showdown attracted significant attention from fans across East Africa, with Shakib emerging victorious after a spirited contest.

He earned praise from supporters for his preparation, fitness and determination inside the ring.

Photos circulating online show both men in peak physical condition, reflecting the dedication they invested in training. Despite the loss, Arrow Bwoy appeared upbeat and determined to improve.

“The first fight was my debut in the ring. Now I am ready to put in the work, sharpen my skills and return stronger,” he stated.

Addressing fans across the region, he added: “To the fans in Uganda, Kenya and across East Africa, would you like to see the rematch? Kampala. Bigger stage. Better preparation. Same warriors.”

A rematch would likely generate even greater interest than their first encounter. Supporters of Arrow Bwoy believe the Kenyan star could deliver a stronger performance with more experience and preparation, while Shakib's fans remain confident the Ugandan businessman would once again emerge victorious.

Whether the rematch happens remains to be seen.
