Dr Job Obwaka: Murugi Munyi's children ask about grandfather’s death in touching video

Influencer Murugi Munyi has shared a poignant moment with her children as they navigate the death of their grandfather, Dr. Job Obwaka.

In a video seen by TNX Africa, the content creator is seen tucking her children into bed while gently explaining the permanence of death.

"So Babu Jobe, that means now when someone has died they are not going to be on the earth anymore," Murugi says in the clip.

She tells her children that while he will not return, they will always have their memories of him.

When one child suggests that God might give him one more chance to come back, Murugi patiently explains that God has already taken him to heaven.

The influencer encouraged her children to find comfort in the long life their grandfather lived, framing his 78 year age as as a milestone to be celebrated.

The emotional exchange has since touched many Kenyans online, with followers praising her for handling the difficult conversation with honesty, patience, and warmth.

Dr. Job Obwaka was a respected veteran gynaecologist and the board chairman at The Nairobi Hospital.

He passed away earlier this month after suffering a cardiac arrest.

Since his death, the medical fraternity and various leaders have shared tributes honoring his decades of service to women’s healthcare and his mentorship of young doctors.

Throughout the mourning period, Murugi has shared reflections on her uncle’s legacy and the emotional journey her family is navigating behind closed doors.

Dr. Obwaka was remembered as an astute professional during a service held CITAM Valley Road, where friends and family gathered for a memorial service.
