Rapper Ray J hospitalised after humiliating knockout by YouTuber Supa Hot Fire

American rapper Ray J was hospitalised after being knocked out by YouTuber SuperHot Fire during a celebrity boxing match hosted at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The incident occurred on Saturday during a high-profile event organised by streamer Adin Ross.

The 45-year-old singer was stopped in the second round of the amateur mixed martial arts bout after absorbing a powerful overhand right hook to the jaw from Supa Hot Fire, whose real name is DeShawn Stevenson.

The punch sent Ray J stumbling backward into the cage ropes before he collapsed onto the canvas, prompting the referee to step in quickly and end the match.  

Following the fight, he shared a video from hospital on Instagram via The Shade Room, where he spoke about his condition.

“My heart more than anything, it’s back down bad and I’m not sure if I regret it or not,” he said.

Speaking to an interviewer after the match, he voiced heavy frustration over losing a significant amount of money and muttered that the match did not go according to plan, calling the situation janky

The footage of the fight has since sparked mixed reactions on social media, with some users questioning the medical setup and others raising concerns about his health.

One commenter wrote, “Are the electrodes put on correctly? I don’t know but it doesn’t look right,” while another said, “Boxing with a heart condition is troubling.”

Earlier this year, Ray J sparked widespread concern during emotional social media broadcasts by revealing that his heart was functioning at approximately 25 per cent capacity following a battle with severe pneumonia and years of substance abuse.

Ray J, born Ray J Norwood, is an American R&B singer, actor and reality television personality known for his music career and public appearances.

He has frequently featured in celebrity boxing events and viral online moments. Reports from US media have previously linked him to ongoing heart health concerns.

SuperHot Fire is a YouTuber known for satirical rap battle content.

He has also competed in celebrity boxing, including bouts against other internet personalities, building a profile in the influencer fight circuit.
