Kenyan singer Mwana, one half of the popular music duo Vijana Barubaru, is mourning the sudden loss of his mother. The artist shared the devastating news on his Instagram stories, expressing the immense pain and heartbreak he is currently experiencing.
"I need one more lunch date. I need to say kwaheri properly," Mwana wrote, adding that he feels he cannot do life properly right now.
He also revealed that they had numerous unfulfilled plans together, questioning why they had to suffer so much only for her to leave him behind. He remembered his mother as someone who possessed the purest heart.
Following the announcement, fans, friends, and well-wishers quickly rallied around the "Kieleweke" hitmaker, flooding social media with messages of comfort and support.
"Condolences, my brother," one fan wrote, while another added, "You woke up well today, thank God, RIP to the mom."
Responding to the overwhelming wave of support online, Mwana took a moment to thank his community for standing with him during this dark time.

Vijana Barubaru, which comprises Mwana Wa Wambui and singer Tuku Kantu, is one of Kenya's most celebrated contemporary duos.
