Fisheries stakeholders in Kisumu are driving a regional AfCFTA-linked programme targeting over 250,000 jobs for women and youth through expanded fish trade and value chain upgrades.
The programme is designed to equip participants with practical skills to identify trade opportunities, manage export-import operations, and navigate trade finance.
If fully implemented, he said, the agreement could significantly boost intra-African trade and expand the continent’s economy over the next two decades.
