A Catholic Church Priest accused of defiling a minor has been arraigned in a Kitale law court.
Nakuru County Commissioner Loyford Kibaara has raised concern over rising cases of defilement and early pregnancy among girls in Kuresoi North and Kuresoi South.
The man in his 40s had mastered her routine and would spot her playing with friends. He was arrested but later released with police saying the case was dismissed in court.
Since 1998, there have been close to 14,000 cases of rape recorded in Busia county out of which 223 cases have been reported from January to June this year.
