Kenyans have expressed outrage after students painted yellow with the slogan "Chama ni UDA" welcomed Murkomen at a Tenwek High School prize-giving ceremony.
Members of the County Assembly (MCAs) allied with Governor George Natembeya, led by Deputy Speaker Obed Mwale, boycotted the ceremony held on
Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen warned that rogue officers who were allegedly involved in the incident at Ol Kalou Comprehensive School polling station will face the law.
The government has been told to take action against politicians accused of financing goons and inciting violence.
Bungoma Governor Kenneth Lusaka has called on the political class to abandon the growing culture of political violence.
"Let's not start pretending like the police are not doing anything about this. Over 20 people have been arrested so far in connection to yesterday's incidents," claimed Murkomen.
