In football, passion often leaps beyond the white lines of the pitch.
The thunderous chants, synchronised dances, and giant banners are part of the theatre, as much a spectacle as the goals scored.
But few fans take the art of expression to such daring heights as Ugandans, whose latest viral stunt has left the continent both laughing and applauding.
At Kasarani Stadium, during Kenya's tense 1-0 battle against Zambia, the noise and drama on the pitch briefly faded into the background.

All eyes shifted to the other stadiums in Uganda, where Uganda Cranes supporters unleashed their own brand of entertainment, customised jerseys that doubled as cheeky, witty billboards.
Amid the yellow, red, and black colours of the Ugandan flag, the fans paraded slogans that had little to do with football, but everything to do with grabbing attention and sparking conversations.
From playful innuendos to biting satire, the messages stitched across their backs became instant internet gold. "I Miss Sex," read one. Another boldly declared "Slightly Older Women," while a third cut straight to the point with "Stingy Men Enough Is Enough."

If that wasn't enough, others went philosophical with their humour. "A prisoner is more free than a man who promised a woman money," one jersey quipped. Another went cheekily specific: "Slightly older women, please?"
The political satire wasn't spared either. One fan raised eyebrows with the line: "M7 has switched off his phone," a jab suggesting President Yoweri Museveni had conveniently gone "unreachable" as the Cranes fought for glory on the pitch.
Cameras zoomed in. Social media erupted. Photos of the Ugandan fans spread like wildfire, many Kenyans and Zambians admitting that their humour had almost overshadowed the game itself.

But while the terraces owned the internet, the Uganda Cranes quietly made history on the field. After a shaky start, losing their opener, they regrouped and went unbeaten through the rest of the group stage. For the first time in African Nations Championship (CHAN) history, they topped their group.
Their prize? A mouth-watering quarterfinal against tournament favourites Senegal, with their fans already promising another viral show in the stands.
