Music heavyweight and record label boss Timmy Tdat and his partner, fellow artist Kendi, have announced that they are expecting their first child.

The couple shared the news in a joint Instagram post, unveiling a series of stunning maternity photos. Kendi dazzled in a figure-hugging red gown complete with a "Mommy to Be" sash, while Timmy Tdat complemented the look in a grey suit paired with Timberland boots.

One photo captured the Kasabun hitmaker kneeling to kiss Kendi's baby bump.

The announcement sparked excitement across the entertainment industry, with media personality Mzazi Willy M. Tuva and radio host Oga Obinna among the first celebrities to congratulate the couple.

While the glamorous photos attracted attention, Kendi's candid reflection on pregnancy won over fans in the comments section.

"I love each and every moment in this journey. The journey of becoming is not easy but all worth it. Lakini tuseme tu ukweli ball is no one's mate umake sure umenikodesha tena by the way," she wrote.

Timmy responded in jest, saying, "No rules and conditions applied ..mafuta tu ndio unaeza apply"

The couple, who recently collaborated on the hit track Control, appear ready to embrace the next chapter of their journey together as parents.

Born Timothy Owuor, Tdat rose from humble beginnings in Nairobi's Kasabun area in Baba Dogo to become one of Kenya's most prominent genre-defining artists.

He broke into the limelight with his 2014 breakthrough hit "Welle Welle" alongside Rapdamu. Known for his rapid-fire delivery, raw lyrics, and high-octane stage presence, he went on to dominate the airwaves with club anthems like "Inaweza", "Tunakubali", and "Dus Nyau".
