Music Copyright Society of Kenya (MCSK) CEO Ezekiel Mutua has offered his blessings to youth leaders Morara Kebaso and Kasmuel McOure as they announced a new political alliance aimed at championing change among Kenya’s youth.
In a post shared on X, Mutua posted a photo of the moment, where he laid hands on the two leaders in prayer.
“I was praying for Kasmuel McOure and Morara Kebaso, then I forgot the name. He suddenly shouts in the middle of the prayer, ‘Kasmuel!’” Mutua recounted humorously.

The duo had earlier taken to social media to declare their partnership, despite coming from different political parties.
“We are from different political parties, but we believe in PRISON BREAK. Kenya is a prison where we choose between a corrupt government and a crooked opposition,” read the caption of their joint post.
In his speech, Morara elaborated: “Right now, the people are trying to look for the lesser devil and trying to find leadership where it cannot be found. They are trying to solve a problem with another problem.”

He added, “We have not come here to ask for our share at the table, we have come to take the table. This is a warning shot to the political class that has kept us in a loop of replacing corruption with more corruption.”
However, the announcement triggered a mixed reaction online, with many Kenyans criticizing the alliance.
One user, Billy Ondari, wrote: “I’ve washed my hands of you. Why did you bring Kasmuel? He’s still in ODM. This is the final nail in your presidential ambition for 2027.”
Another user, Wakigutu, said: “We’ll chart our own path. Huu ni mchezo wa town. You both have two things in common: you’ve lost your popularity and betrayed the Gen Z movement.”
Ian Keya added, “Bois, unatuchanganya. It’s clear we don’t know your stand anymore, and you clearly don’t have good intentions for our future. I don’t trust the friendship between a leopard and a goat.”
Prior to their announcement, Morara had taken to X, asking Kenyans to forgive Kasmuel, who recently aligned himself with one of Kenya’s oldest political parties.
“Please forgive Kasmuel McOure. Allow him and other youth leaders to retrace their steps and build the new Kenya we want. Mistakes are the road signs on the highway of success,” he posted.
