Harambee Stars and Tusker FC midfielder Chrispine Erambo is known across Kenyan football for his aggressive tackles and commanding presence on the pitch.
But off the field, the rising star is proving he is just as fierce about giving back as he is about winning possession.
In a recent Instagram post that quickly won hearts across social media, Erambo shared moments from his visit to the Mathare Kids Talents Hub, a grassroots initiative supporting young talents in one of Nairobi’s most underprivileged areas.
Pictured surrounded by beaming children, the caption read, “Yesterday I was privileged to visit an incredible crew @Mathare_Kid_Talents_Hub and my heart is full of joy and gratitude. Seeing their smiles, dance moves and hearing their laughter reminded me of the beauty of innocence and the importance of kindness."
Erambo added, "Together we can make a difference and create a brighter future for the little humans. Proud to be part of a community that cares for its most vulnerable.”
The visit was deeply personal for Erambo, who grew up in the sprawling informal settlement of Kibera.
Erambo’s own journey from Kibera Saints to Tusker FC is a story of relentless grit.
Now a first-team regular with the Brewers, he has become one of the standout midfielders in the league, earning multiple "Player of the Month" honors last season.
His appearance at the Mathare hub was marked by laughter, dance, and mentorship.
Erambo also took the opportunity to highlight the work being done by community centers like Mathare Kids Talents Hub, which provide young people with a safe space to grow through art, sports, and education.
