Teyana Taylor bags sh1.3 billion homes, 7-figure payout, sh38.8M Maybach after Iman Shumpert divorce

Teyana Taylor and Iman Shumpert, once admired as a power couple, officially ended their marriage, and details of their settlement have emerged, closing a decade-long chapter that began in 2014.

The two first connected through their respective careers Taylor is a singer, actress, and choreographer, while Shumpert is professional basketball player who last played for the Brooklyn Nets in the NBA.

Their whirlwind romance led to marriage in 2016, and together they welcomed two daughters.

Despite their seemingly strong bond, cracks in the relationship eventually led Taylor to file for divorce in January 2023.

 The proceedings culminated in a finalized settlement on July 1, 2024.

Court documents cited "cruel treatment" as the reason for the split, with allegations of emotional and mental abuse, jealousy over Taylor’s rising fame, and struggles following motherhood.

Breaking her silence on Instagram, Taylor clarified that their separation was not due to infidelity.

"In all fairness, Iman and I are separated and have been for a while. To be 1000% clear, ‘infidelity’ ain’t one of the reasons for our departure," she posted.

She also reassured fans that they remain on good terms, emphasizing, "We are still the best of friends, great business partners, and one hell of a team when it comes to co-parenting our two beautiful children."

However, the divorce was not without its complications. Financial disputes arose when Shumpert allegedly withdrew $4 million from their joint accounts without Taylor’s consent, leading to disagreements over child support and asset distribution.

Despite the tension, the former couple reached a multimillion-dollar settlement. Taylor was awarded four homes valued at over $10 million, a one-time seven-figure payment, and several luxury vehicles, including a $300,000 Maybach, a $70,000 Mercedes Sprinter, and a tour bus.

 Additionally, she retained full ownership of her business ventures.

Regarding child support, Shumpert was ordered to pay $8,000 per month for their daughters and cover their private school tuition. Despite the legal battle, both have expressed their dedication to co-parenting.

As they move forward separately, Taylor has been linked to British actor Aaron Pierre, with whom she was spotted at the 2025 Oscars, fueling romance speculation.
