Video: Ethiopian couple ditches luxury cars for bulldozers, tractors for wedding convoy

In the streets of an unnamed Ethiopian city, tradition met bold innovation as a young couple traded sleek limousines for the thunderous roar of heavy machinery.

The undated video, widely shared, captures a vibrant wedding procession that defies convention. Instead of flower-draped luxury cars, a convoy of decorated wheel loaders and construction vehicles made their way along the streets to the awe of onlookers.

Under a bright blue sky dotted with clouds, the lead yellow-and-white loader, adorned with flowing white fabrics, pink and white balloons, and floral arrangements, inches forward.

Men in crisp shirts stand atop the cab and in the raised bucket, waving enthusiastically and striking celebratory poses.

Women in elegant white and colorful traditional attire perch on the machinery’s sides, their garments billowing as the vehicle moves.

A second loader follows closely, its bucket also carrying joyous members of the wedding party.

The couple’s choice transformed ordinary construction equipment into what many could not think of.
