The Bar Was Too Low challenge took Kenya by storm, with women sharing their most embarrassing, naïve, or downright hilarious experiences in relationships.
From dating broke men who made them split a mutura bill to being side chicks without realising it, the stories had Kenyans laughing and cringing at the same time.
Popular podcaster Murugi Munyi, also known as Yummy Mummy, left netizens in shock after sharing a surprising story about her younger self.
Speaking to Lydia K, on their popular podcast The Messy In-Between (TMI), she recounted an experience from her past.
“There was a guy I once dated, and all our dates were in the club. Every single time, we had sex in the club toilets,” she revealed.
Lydia, visibly shocked, pressed for more details, to which Murugi emphasised that they had only ever met at the club and engaged in sexual relations in the venue’s washrooms.
Reflecting on her past choices, she admitted she would hug her younger self for enduring such moments and for setting the bar too low.
“We would only meet in the club and do it every single time. I really wish I could give that Murugi a big hug because she went through too much.

One mentioned she was a side chick without knowing about it.
Jumping on the trend, the woman hilariously confessed that she used to cook and clean at her boyfriend’s place, only for his real girlfriend to come home later and enjoy the meal.
She found out after a nosy neighbour mistakenly thought she was the wife and spilled the beans.

In yet another confession, several women admitted to dating men who made them split even the smallest bills.
One shared how a guy asked her to "pay for half of the mutura" they were eating by the roadside, while another narrated how her boyfriend asked her to refund his fare after visiting her.
An X user shocked many when she said she once ironed her boyfriend’s outfit, thinking they were going out together, only for him to tell her, “Thanks, babe. I’m off to see someone.”
She even wished him a good time before realising what had just happened.
A woman admitted she used to wake up at 4 am to cook for her man, believing that’s what a good girlfriend should do.
The man never reciprocated her efforts, and she later found out he was cheating.

Another shared how she took a loan to help her boyfriend start a business, only for him to disappear immediately after receiving the money.
She later saw photos of him vacationing with another woman.
