Esther Musila has sparked conversation online after sharing a thought-provoking message about protecting one's peace, knowing when to walk away from unhealthy relationships and surrounding oneself with the right people.

In a lengthy Instagram post, she reflected on the importance of setting boundaries, arguing that not everyone deserves a permanent place in one's life.

"Never put temporary people in the permanent places of your life," she wrote, encouraging her followers to be courageous enough to let go of relationships that no longer serve them.

"If it's your life then it's your right. Be bold to take any decision concerning your life."

She also challenged the fear of being judged for prioritising personal well-being.

"If they call it pride, tell them it's class," she added, before using a series of metaphors to reinforce her point.

One of the most striking compared negative people to vehicles that cannot move forward.

"You cannot go anywhere with negative people. Negative people are like cars without fuel and engines. You can only sit in them, but they will never take you anywhere."

She further cautioned against sharing personal struggles with everyone, saying not everyone who listens has good intentions.

"Be careful who you open up to. Only a few people care. The rest just want to have something to gossip about."

She concluded her post by encouraging people to embrace new beginnings, likening toxic relationships to storms that eventually pass.

"Some people come into your life like a dark storming night. When the storm is over and the sun rises it becomes a beautiful day. Make beautiful days in your life by removing the 'storms' in your life."

The post quickly drew reactions from followers, many agreeing with her message about protecting one's mental space and choosing relationships that encourage growth rather than negativity.

Musila is no stranger to using her social media platforms to share motivational messages and reflections on life. Her latest post continues that trend, striking a chord with followers navigating friendships, family ties and relationships that have become more draining than fulfilling.

While she did not indicate whether the message was inspired by a personal experience, the advice resonated with many who viewed it as a timely reminder that setting boundaries is not an act of pride but one of self-respect.
