Nairobi woman denies biting teen's nose, threatening to circumcise him

A woman has been accused of attacking her son's rival with slaps, biting his nose, and threatening to circumcise him.

Cecil Wachuke Nyaga is alleged to have assaulted a 14-year-old boy on November 11 at Mwiki, Kasarani Sub-County, causing him injuries.

Wachuke is reported to have been aggrieved by her son's mistreatment by her peers.

On the material day, she reportedly ran into a group of teenagers walking. Among them was her neighbour's son. She allegedly grabbed and slapped him on the face twice and bit his nose until it bled. She is also said to have strangled him while threatening to teach him a lesson by circumcising him.

The teenager ran home to inform his mother. The matter was then booked at a police station.

Wachuke was summoned to the police station where she recorded a statement and was later arrested. When she was arraigned before Makadara Law Courts, Senior Principal Magistrate Gilbert Shikwe, she denied the charge.

She was granted a cash bail and a hearing date set for May 12, 2026.

Meanwhile, a man in Industrial area, Nairobi has been arraigned at a court to answer to the charge of threatening to kill his mother, who he accused of bewitching his two deceased brothers.

Philip Mumo, is said to have without lawful excuse, threatened to kill his mother Jane Katiku on October 28 at her house in Kwa Reuben.

On the material day, the accused is said to have arrived at his mother's home at about 8pm. He appeared drunk. His other siblings were watching a television program at the living room while the mother was resting in the bedroom.

He created a commotion by asking his mother and siblings why they turned on the TV and watched programs without his permission.

He further accused his mother and her sister of practicing witchcraft. He claimed that the two had bewitched his two brothers who died a while back.

Mumo accused his mother of also plotting to kill him using dark arts but vowed that he would kill her before she succeeded.

The threats prompted his mother to report the matter to the police who arrested took him to court.

Senior Principal Magistrate Gilbert Shikwe released him on a cash bail of Sh10,000 pending hearing on May 12, 2026.
