Juja Member of Parliament George Koimburi has broken his silence weeks after his alleged abduction last month.
In a shared video, Koimburi, appearing frail in hospital robes and holding a bouquet of white roses, detailed his ordeal of what exactly transpired and how he was allegedly abducted.
He narrated how he was drugged, and later left for the dead in a coffee farm where a bodaboda rider came to his rescue and took him to hospital.

While condemning the act, he also went ahead and asked Kenyans to pray for the government since there are rogue agents who have infiltrated the government and are out to cause harm.
“Nalaani kitendo hiki ambacho nimetendewa, maafa yote ambayo yametendeka kupitia wahuni hawa ambao wanatembea Kenya yetu ni jambo ambalo nimeshuhudia. Naambia wakenya wakenya tuendelee kuombea serikali yetu.
(I condemn this act that was meted on me, all the deaths that have been caused by the thugs who are roaming around in Kenya. This is something that I have witnessed firsthand and I tell Kenyans to continue to pray for our government.)
The abduction, which occurred on May 25, 2025, was described by former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua as a severe assault involving state agents.
Gachagua, who visited Koimburi at Karen Hospital, condemned the act as a blatant violation of human rights and an attempt to silence political dissent.
Days later, The National Police Service (NPS) and the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) said that the MP stage-managed his abduction for political gains.
While addressing the press at the DCI headquarters along Kiambu Road, DCI boss Amin Mohamed said that officers trailed the MP’s movement until the last moment he was discovered at the coffee plantation in Juja, but there was a mismatch.
