Nimrod Mbai grilled at EACC over assault incident with Kenya Power staffer

Kitui East MP Nimrod Mbai has been questioned by Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) officers, for allegedly assaulting a staffer of Kenya Power.

This comes days after the lawmaker was caught on camera assaulting a staffer of Kenya Power, identified as Engineer Julius Ogangi, while in his line of duty.

The MP appeared before the Commission’s offices at Integrity Centre, Nairobi, on Monday, July 17, where he was questioned by the officers probing the incident and later recorded a statement.

The incident happened last Monday, July 3 evening, in the Acacia area of Kitengela in Kajiado County.

This was after the two parties disagreed when the Kenya Power officials discovered an illegal electricity connection to Mbai’s home.
