West Pokot Nominated MCA Marishana Cheruto caused a stir after being filmed confronting a security guard during a dispute over unpaid allowances and medical cover for county legislators.
The dramatic video shows Cheruto removing her coat and shouting in a mix of Swahili and her local dialect.
She specifically targeted a colleague with claims that she was only being paid 1,000 shillings, further asserting that the current government would soon be ousted.
As security guards attempted to intervene and de-escalate the rising tension, the MCA became increasingly resistant.
In the middle of the commotion, she is seen slapping one of the guards across the face as he tries to restrain her from reaching her intended target.
Drama unfolded outside the county assembly after a nominated woman MCA from West Pokot was captured angrily confronting her male colleague before partially undressing during the heated altercation, drawing attention from onlookers and sparking reactions online.

"Leave me alone, I have my rights," she repeatedly shouted as guards followed her to prevent further violence. Despite their efforts, she continued to hurl insults while pacing the scene in a visible rage.
Cheruto later took to Facebook to address the outburst, linking her anger to systemic failures within the county assembly.
She questioned how she could be refused her rightful allowances after speaking up about ECDE pillars and the lack of medical services for MCAs over the past year.
"You have stirred the sewage and now it will smell," she wrote, directing her frustration at the county leadership and describing the situation as a "shame" for the administration.
The footage has divided public opinion, with some Kenyans arguing that a public leader’s conduct should remain professional regardless of the provocation.
"The bar is so low with these representatives that it can't get any worse," commented one user, Pesh Agwah, who called on voters to make better choices.
Others have come to her defense, suggesting that the video only captured the reaction rather than the harassment that led to the breakdown.
They argued that the focus should be on the county clerk ensuring all employees and representatives receive their rightful dues.
"If you don’t know the pain of salary deductions and the struggles employees go through to survive, then it is easy to criticize her," noted another commentator, Caleb, who insisted that every hardworking employee deserves fair treatment.
