Henry Cavill, widely known for his role in 'Man of Steel,' recently revealed that he is expecting his first child with girlfriend Natalie Viscuso.

Speaking to Access Hollywood at the New York City premiere of 'The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare,' Cavill shared his enthusiasm.

"I'm very excited about it. Natalie and I are both very excited about it. I'm sure you'll see much more of that," he said in response to a question about becoming a father.

Reflecting on fatherhood, Cavill expressed his desire to be an active dad in an interview with Men's Health U.K. back in 2017.

"If I ever have kids one day, I want to be the dad who's running round after them," he shared. "And if I do have kids, even now, it's starting to get quite late. But I want to be a fit and healthy dad, not hobbling round like, 'OK, I'm just going to catch a breather.'"

Cavill and Natalie Viscuso have been in a relationship for over two years. They made their relationship public by attending the London premiere of Cavill's movie 'Argylle' together.

The couple went Instagram official in April 2021, sharing a photo of themselves playing chess. Cavill humorously captioned his post, "This is me looking quietly confident shortly before my beautiful and brilliant love Natalie destroys me at chess."

Similarly, Natalie's post read, "Teaching my dear Henry how to play some chess...or...maybe he let me win?"

Despite the challenges of dating in the public eye, Cavill has not been shy about telling off critics.

In a 2021 Instagram message to his followers, he expressed contentment in his relationship and life.

"I am very happy in love, and in life," he wrote. "I'd be enormously grateful if you were happy with me. If you can't bring yourself to be happy with me, then at the very least try to do yourself proud and be the best version of yourself."
