Thai delicacies take centre stage in Nairobi

A promotion seeking to showcase Thai delicacies recently unfolded in Nairobi, organised by the Thai Trade Centre and the Royal Thai Embassy. 

The event aimed to raise awareness of the various Thai food and kitchenware brands available in the Kenyan market.

Suppliers were present to display and sell their products.

The event’s highlight was a live cooking demonstration by Dennis Ombachi, also known as the Roaming Chef. 

Ombachi, offered shoppers Thai cuisine cooking classes, teaching them how to prepare famous dishes such as Pad Thai and Green Chicken Curry with Jasmine Rice.

The promotion also provided an opportunity for attendees to learn about the Thai sauces and ingredients that contribute to the unique taste of Thai delicacies. 

Among the showcased dishes were the Thai-style stir-fried noodles, Pad Thai, and Tom Kha Kai, a traditional chicken in coconut soup.

The event not only promoted Thai cuisine but also served as a cultural exchange, providing Kenyans with a taste of Thailand right in the heart of Nairobi. 

The platform was a testament to the growing popularity of Thai cuisine in the country and the increasing cultural exchange between the two nations.
