Kenyans are renowned for their love of celebration and joyous spirits, an undeniable fact that shines through in every festivity.

"Sherehe ni sheria," a widely embraced saying, encapsulates this vibrant essence perfectly. The recent Raha Festival in Nairobi and the Safari Rally in Naivasha showcased this enthusiasm vividly, promising an equally thrilling weekend.

The atmosphere was electric at the Raha Festival, which spanned from Saturday into Sunday, drawing an eager crowd hungry for electrifying performances, and it certainly delivered.

The stage lit up with invigorating acts from acclaimed artists across Africa.

Among the stellar lineup were Afro Beat sensation Davido, the talented DJ Neptune and Iyanya from Nigeria, South Africa's own Musa Keys, DRC's Ya Levis, Ghana's King Promise, and Tanzania's Rayvanny.

Homegrown Kenyan talents like Bien Aime from Sauti Sol, Sanaipei Tande, Otile Brown, Nviiri the storyteller, Bensoul, Boutross, Melina Gold, Marrovey, H-art the Band, Samidoh, Nadia Mukami, and the captivating Mejja, with his tumbler in hand, also graced the stage.

Tickets for the event ranged from Sh6,000 for the weekend Regular Pass to Sh30,000 for the weekend VVIP Pass, with Uhuru Gardens witnessing a jam-packed turnout.

Simultaneously, during the Easter Weekend, Naivasha roared with the World Rally Championship (WRC), drawing thrill-seekers from across Kenya to witness the adrenaline-pumping spectacle of international rally drivers.

For those who missed out, the party doesn't stop there. On April 6, Boomplay, a leading music streaming and download platform, will host a live music festival at the A.S.K. Dome in Nairobi, promising an evening filled with top-notch performances celebrating Kenyan music and artists.

The lineup boasts renowned names like the "OG" Khaligraph Jones, Nadia Mukami, Arrow Bwoy, Femi One, Nameless, Bahati, Willy Paul, Ssaru, Boutross, Fathermoh, Wakadinali, Buruklyn Boyz, and Vijana Baru Baru.

The event will be energized by the lively MCs Mwalimu Racheal and Xclusive, accompanied by DJ Lyta spinning tunes.

As the weekend unfolds, Sunday, April 7, brings the Blankets and Wine Event at Laureate Garden, Moi International Sports Centre in Kasarani, Nairobi.

This festival is a celebration of African music, featuring artists like Chris Kaiga, Fena Gitu, Eric Wainaina, Vijana Baru Baru, Wanavokali, Blinky Bill, Dlala Thukzin (a South African DJ and Music producer), and Wurld (a Nigerian Singer and songwriter).

Attendees can look forward to enjoying authentic African cuisines from Onja Onja while soaking in the positive vibes and musical talents.

So, dust off your picnic mats and get ready to dance because this weekend promises to be nothing short of spectacular, a testament to Kenya's unbridled love for 'sherehe' (celebrations) and vibrant cultural scene.
